Application Engineering Intern Opportunities
Are you looking to start your career interning with the leading provider of electronic design
automation (EDA) and system design technologies? If you have EE, CS, CE, Physics, or Math experience through internships or US graduate university courses or have recently graduated in the top 15% of a US Masters/PhD program, Cadence may be the place for you. Students must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited US college or university program upon request prior to employment. Candidates currently on student visas (with Available Practical Training) are also encouraged to apply. Must have a GPA of 3.65 or higher, with major course of study in an EE, CS, CE, Physics, or Math curriculum. Must have excellent English language communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.

As a Cadence application engineering intern, you will not only get new technical knowledge and strong experience with our EDA tools, but also learn how a company like Cadence works, what internal processes exist, and how to efficiently work with your colleagues, and how we interact with our customers. In this unique and prominent position, you will take a versatile role, gaining a lot of expertise in different contexts.

Where are internships located?
Internship opportunities are offered throughout many Cadence US offices including, but not limited to, San Jose and Irvine, CA; Dallas and Austin, TX; and Chelmsford, MA.

How long is an internship?
Average duration of an internship is three to six months. Cadence offers internship opportunities throughout the year, with most positions available now until summer.

Call for applications to Northeastern's PhD program in Network Science


www.northeastern.edu/networkscience The PhD program in Network Science at Northeastern University is a pioneering interdisciplinary program that provides the tools and concepts aimed at understanding the structure and dynamics of networks arising from the interplay of human behavior, socio-technical infrastructures, information diffusion and biological agents. Students will be able to work with some of the most prominent network scientists in the world and can participate in cutting edge research activities and work with unique large-scale network datasets. Network Science is a truly interdisciplinary field and the students will interact and work with members of the network science community representing a wide range of fields, including computer science, information science, complexity, physics, sociology, communication, organizational behavior, political science, and epidemiology.
Northeastern University is a world leader in Network Science, with prominent faculty in the field such as Albert-László Barabási, Alessandro Vespignani, David Lazer, and Alan Mislove, dozens of faculty affiliated with the program, and multiple centers and labs with scores of researchers.  This year we are launching a 13,000 square foot Network Science Institute, and 60+ PhDs working primarily on networks, and access to some of the most interesting, large-scale, data about human behavior that have ever existed. A key element of the program involves careful mentoring from these faculty, and rapid involvement in the cutting edge research taking place at Northeastern. The initial tracks will be focused on the physical sciences; social sciences; health science; and computer and information sciences. The program is structured around foundational courses in Network Science (Complex Networks and Applications, Network Science Data, and Dynamical Processes in Complex Networks), and gateway courses tailored to the relevant tracks. The curriculum is supplemented with additional courses from the relevant domains.
Admissions We expect applications from talented students from around the world with strong interdis­ciplinary interest with a bachelor’s or higher degree. Opportunity in Global Health - IHME Post-Bachelor Fellowship

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington offers a Post-Bachelor Fellowship in Global Health that combines a full-time professional position, academic research, and education with progressive on-the-job training and mentoring from renowned group of professors.  This program provides Post-Bachelor Fellows the option to pursue for a fully-funded Master of Public Health at the University of Washington.
