Intersil is looking for a intern Verification Engineer for a new PMIC development team supporting mobile systems with emphasis on tablets and ultrabooks. This new team will develop the highest performance highly integrated solutions in the market with a focus on cutting edge power solutions for Mobile Application Processors (SOCs). This verification team will also experiment with new ways of executing on all phases of the IC development process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Design, DV and AMS verification engineers to ensure maximum and efficient verification coverage
- Drives, creates and verifies AMS models.
- Drives, creates and verifies AMS test benches.
- Drives and creates self-checking tests; PASS/FAIL.
- Responsible for the verification of: Model vs. Transistor level Circuit
- Drives and creates a Behavioral Verilog model representing the PMIC
- Verifies all analog to digital interfaces
- Drives and creates Verilog-a models to support design engineers and for other purposes.
- Work diligently to accomplish project goals and meet schedule requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Versed in Cadence tools: Spectre, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A. HSPICE is acceptable in place of Spectre.
- Experience using Cadence analog design tools for transistor block-level characterization/verification by Spectre/HSPICE simulations.
- Versed in scripting languages like PERL, TCL and/or Python.
- Experience in using EDA formal tools.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits with an emphasis in Analog power circuits such as; voltage references, current references, LDOs and high performance DC/DC converters, and also Digital circuits like state machines and interfaces like I2C and SPI.
- BS in EE or Computer Science
- Language skills: Written and verbal english language proficiency required.
